‘Shades of Blue’ season 2: Where should Jennifer Lopez series go from here?
For anyone out there who enjoyed “Shades of Blue,” there is an inevitable feeling of sadness that comes with the thought that Thursday night was in fact the last episode of the season. It was quite a way to go out for sure, with Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) taking down Miguel once and for all as a move to protect both herself and also her daughter.
This is a show that certainly put its main characters through its paces in season 1, and the good news for fans should be simple: It’s not quite over yet. There is more of this story coming, even if you may need to wait for at least a little while to see it.
NBC renewed the show for a second season earlier this season, but we don’t get the indication that this is going to be anything other than a midseason show once more. It works well for this format, and with her Las Vegas residency taking up a rather large amount of her time at present, Lopez is incredibly busy.
One thing that the producers did do is create an ending to season 1 that really leaves things open for exploration moving forward. There are a wide array of different things that the show could choose to do, and it is really up to them in order to make up their minds. Hopefully, this is something that we’ll have some additional insight on in the future once filming begins and some of the first casting news really starts to come out.
