‘The 100’ season 3, episode 9 reaction: Ricky Whittle’s Lincoln front and center for latest shocker

The 100 -Tonight on “The 100,” the wheels kept on turning … and running over some people in the process.

It was only two episodes ago that the show killed off one of its most beloved characters in Lexa, and on Thursday night’s new installment, we saw another devastating blow come in the form of Lincoln. This character, played by Ricky Whittle, basically turned himself in to Pike after saying one last farewell to Octavia. It was a surprise, and a particularly painful one to go along with that.

The death of the character also comes at a fitting time for Whittle, given that he was just cast in the Starz show “American Gods.” We knew he would be going at some point, and this was really a question of when it was going to happen. We

Lincoln will be missed, and we hope that the show finds a way to honor him in some way. Of course, the reality here is that there may not be that much time, given what we know about this universe at this point and how almost no one is ever safe from some of the dangers that could rear their head at almost any moment.

Now, let’s just hope that there are no other characters who are killed off the rest of the season. After all, haven’t we really seen enough at this point? This is a show that has really made a currency out of some of these shockers over the course of the series’ run.
