‘American Idol 15’ spoilers: Some Trent Harmon, La’Porsha Renae, Dalton Rapattoni song choices

There are some weeks where we have almost all of the song choices for the “American Idol” finalists prior to the live show, and then there are weeks where we are left in the dark about one or two of them.

In this case, it’s more of the latter, since we unfortunately still do not know everything that the remaining four contestants are singing. However, thanks to a Taste of Country interview featuring Scott Borchetta, we do at least know his personal choices for the four remaining singers. Let’s get to analyzing those.

Trent Harmon, “Drink You Away” – Borchetta claims that this is the first time that Justin Timberlake has ever cleared the song for a performance show, and is confident Trent will kill it. We’ll take his word for it, since Harmon has some of the same qualities as Justin.

Dalton Rapattoni, “Dancing in the Dark” – Bruce Springsteen’s a little bit of an old-school pick for Dalton, but we do really like this song. Therefore, we’ll wait and see precisely what happens here.

MacKenzie Bourg, “Rhiannon” – We’ve actually hard this Fleetwood Mac song a lot on the show over the years, so with that our biggest question is what Bourg can do to make it into something special. We know he’s capable of it.

La’Porsha Renae, “Stay With Me” – It’s La’Porsha doing Lorraine Ellison. We’re not sure what else needs to be said about this, since almost everything suggests that this will be an awesome performance and then some.
