‘The Walking Dead’ season 6 finale spoilers: An epic Norman Reedus tease
Just in case you weren’t amped-up already to watch the finale for “The Walking Dead” on Sunday night, we have another tease now from series star Norman Reedus that may push you a little bit closer to that edge.
While Norman Reedus has not seen the completed version of the story just yet, he did tell Entertainment Weekly that seeing the story of Negan’s arrival and more play out virtually stunned him into silence:
“I saw a little rough cut of it … And it’s the most hardcore episode we’ve ever shot. I couldn’t speak after I watched it. And, of course, I knew what was happening, and what was going to happen, and who was involved, but I got to tell you, I couldn’t speak for like an hour. And then I just was bombarded with phone calls on my drive home. But that was a rough, rough, rough cut. I will say that it might be the best episode we’ve ever shot of the show.”
How is that for an insane tease? The only things that we can say for sure right now are that Daryl is in jeopardy after being shot, Negan’s going to be carrying with him his beloved bat Lucille, and someone is almost surely going to be struck by the time we make it to the end credits. Given the way the character arrived in the comics, we can imagine fan reaction being more than a whimper if the show was to do nothing with the character’s arrival here.
We are going to have some more on the finale over the weekend … and we have a feeling this is one we’ll be talking about for a while.
