‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: What is Barbara Kean’s next move?

It has been a rather long time since we’ve had a chance to write much about “Gotham” and Barbara Kean, and there has been a fairly simple reason at the heart of that: The character has been locked away. She has for one been nursing injuries, but there is also a heavy degree of mental illness that she has faced.

Later this season, however, it does seem like the character is going to be heading out into the world once more. It’s with that we are here with some of the first details regarding “Pinewood,” which is the upcoming episode of the show set to air on April 18. The synopsis below offers up a little more information regarding what you can expect:

“After leaving Arkham Asylum, Barbara attempts to make amends with Gordon. Then, Bruce and Alfred track down one of Thomas Wayne’s former friends from Project Chimera, but Hugo Strange disrupts their plans.”

Yes, it is nice to see that Barbara is trying to rectify some of the problems and relationships that she allowed to fall apart previously. Now that we’ve said that, though, you always do have to wonder of motive when it comes to her. Is there something deeper going on here that we don’t quite know about, and if there is, how could it damage the rest of the cast? These are valuable questions that, in one form or another, we have to wonder.

We do have to say once more, though, that evil Barbara is our favorite side of the character by a longshot.
