‘Supernatural’ season 11, episode 17 video: Is Sam or Dean getting shot?

Just when you thought that Wednesday night’s new episode of “Supernatural” was looking on the surface to be yet another werewolf hunt, something like the sneak peek below comes around and makes you start to question pretty much everything.

In this new clip below, you can see Sam and Dean in the midst of what appears to be a pretty epic / grisly battle, and at the tail end of it we see none other than Sam getting shot! That’s a little bit different than the standard “Supernatural” sneak peek, no?

Obviously, there’s no reason to think that Jared Padalecki’s character is actually dead, largely because the thought of that is incredibly depressing and also because that’s not really what this show does. They’re not going to release a sneak peek that would release the biggest surprise in arguably the entire history of the show.

Instead, it’s fair to say that there is more than likely something so much more complicated going on here; maybe Sam just survives outright, or maybe there is some other sort of means in order to save him. It’d be far from the first time that a Winchester has been revived on the show; these guys are starting to get to the point where they actually do have more lives than cats. Of course, we don’t want to see either of them go anywhere, so we’re rather fine with them being brought back repeatedly as a result of it.
