‘Arrow’ season 4, episode 17 video: Malcolm meets with Damien Darhk

Is time running out for Damien Darhk on “Arrow“? The character is still locked in prison, and in the latest sneak-peek below for Wednesday night’s new episode, it appears almost as though nobody is in much of a hurry to ensure that he gets released.

As a matter of fact, Malcolm Merlyn tells him that some of his one-time associates are almost happy to see him behind bars for a simple reason: This keeps him out of their hair. They think that his quick temper and megalomaniac attitude has caused them way more harm than good, and to be fair, they’ve got a lot of reasons to be able to back up some of those claims. This is a guy who has made a habit of killing people without really batting an eye, and using his ego and his resources to get what he wants regardless of any collateral damage.

If there is one thing that we feel at least reasonably confident about, it is this: We can’t imagine the end to Darhk being behind bars. We’d be shocked if he is never released in some capacity, and you have to think that he could wreck some havoc as a result. After all, there’s a reason someone dies later this season, whether it happens on tonight’s episode or at some other point down the line. Sooner or later, we are going to be getting to that key cemetery scene.
