MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 5, episode 16 preview: Are Tamara, Jenna getting a new opportunity?

On Tuesday night’s all-new episode of “Awkward,” we had a storyline that revolved around Jenna Hamilton doing what she could in an effort to get her friendship with Tamara back on track. Well, that didn’t happen … mostly because of the fact that Tamara is proving herself to be a pretty terrible person these days. She’s hanging out with Sadie, and being more vapid than ever.

So where is this story going to go moving into next week? Well, it turns out that Jenna and Tamara may have a new collaboration … at least as co-workers. Tamara is going to get a job at Ideabin working in a different capacity, and it is going to take almost no time at all for her to be popular with some of the other people there. Jenna had been trying to form some fast friendships, but in the end she struck out. Instead, Tamara seems to have taken hold on some of those, and then continues to ignore Jenna in the process. Not great.

Also, is it possible that Matty may cause some of her old feelings to come back, after all? Judging from the preview that showed him visiting her parents, it’s at least possible. For the past few episodes, he’s seemed happy to have a relationship that doesn’t really require a whole lot of effort. However, at the same exact time he’s learned a thing or two in the process about what the drawbacks of such a relationship could be … and it just so turns out that there are quite a few of them.
