ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 16 video: Esposito talks about his criminal ex
Everyone has a part of their past that they are not too interested in exploring with anyone, and for Javier Esposito on “Castle,” that part seems to be for the most part his romantic history.
In the new sneak peek below for Monday night’s new episode “Heartbreaker,” we learn that there is a case coming up that could feature none other that his ex-fiancee in a significant capacity. The problem? This ex just so happens to be a criminal. He didn’t know that she had the capacity for wrongdoing at the time that they first got together, but it surfaced over time and he was actually the person who arrested her in the end.
While Javi may say that he’s over her, his expression and Rick’s commentary clearly says otherwise when she enters the room. This is a pretty-clear signal that there may be a problem when it comes to the two of them working together on this case. Sparks may fly and romance reignited! Doesn’t everyone love a bad girl once in a while?
It’s a little early to render a full verdict on this episode since we haven’t even seen it just yet, but on the surface this feels very much like an old-school outing for the show. Even the sneak peek features our four lead characters all together in the same room, and there is some delightfully fun banter traded between all of them. We’ll see what happens ultimately when the story airs, but for now we’re feeling fairly optimistic.

This looks good on the preview, add that to 805 and 811, as the standout episodes of the season and you realize how slim the pick’ns were.

Leo, you have that right, but also if you look at the stills for the next episode it appears that they are fighting. I really think TPTB have given up on the show ,no creativity left it appears in the writers etc. I don’t see another season unfortunately and also I see a bad ending for the fans since the season finale was written by Hawley and Winter.

Add that to the fact that ABC is spreading the episodes, it gives the impression that the studio has given up trying to build viewers. wouldn’t it be right up W/H’s scope to have Loksat kill Kate for the grand finale. Wow what an ending. It would become an instant classic most hated ending of all time.
