ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: On Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and … Aladdin?
Are we set to have a “Castle” – Disney movie crossover like no other? Not exactly, but we do at least have some further information that suggests that we could be getting a really fun episode of the show on April 11 entitled “Death Wish.”
We’re not going to waste more time before telling you how Aladdin factors into this story. Take a look, per SpoilerTV, at the episode’s synopsis:
“The murder of a man connected to smuggling Turkish relics sends Castle, Beckett and the 12th Precinct on a search for a stolen antique believed to be Aladdin’s lamp, in hopes that it can lead them to the killer.”
What we like about this story on paper is mostly that it seems to be pairing Castle and Beckett up in a more direct way than we’ve seen at times this season; meanwhile, it’s a chance for Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion to play something that feels like a caper. Getting a supposed “Aladdin’s lamp” involved adds a touch of whimsy, and if there is one thing that we’ve come to know about Castle over the years, it is that he is an enormous fan of whimsy. He’ll do whatever he can to chase that in a case, even if all signs are pointing him in an opposite direction.
In the end, this is the sort of “Castle” case we really like to see; we always appreciate the cases-of-the-week here that allow for the cast to have a little bit of fun, especially since that’s not something that the larger mythology of LokSat has always allowed for.

My TV schedule only has Dancing With the Stars, then a new show after that. I will not watch either. I am disgusted that Castle isn’t even listed tonight. Monday night is supposed to be Castle night for the fans!!! Personally I am really getting sick of the POWERS THAT BE, that keep playing with our minds and either not showing our favorite show or keeping Stana and Nathan separated. Who are you people anyway?? I would fire them all!! If it is your intention to drop this show, at least do so in a professional manner and let us know why! It would appear there are no creative juices flowing in any of you people!

Dont be fooled by the ‘Castle and Beckett’ look for line, we’ll still only get the regular 6 minutes of them together. Stana has barely been on set, so even 6 minutes is a stretch.

Vikki, I agree Sometimes I wonder why Stana came back if see was only going to be on the set maybe at the most 30% of the time.It has really handicapped the show and add into the mix this inane story line.

this is the one that Rick find what he thinks is a magic lantern, and he get to make two wishes. And by the name of the episode he wishes that his life is taken to save Kates as far as it has to do with LokSat. Have no clue on the other wish .Maybe for the two of them a season 9.
