‘Quantico’ episode 15 review: Betrayals and revelations
In some ways, relationships were key on Sunday night’s new episode of “Quantico,” but we are not just talking about romantic partners.
Take, for example, Shelby realizing the truth about her parents being out there, and also the loneliness she felt after realizing that she had been lied to for so many years by her own sister. The blood between them (or lack thereof) really should not matter. Meanwhile, Caleb’s mother was the target of a new plot, and this was the latest note in a terrorism storyline that has alternated between enthralling and frustrating. At times, it’s been a little bit of both.
In the Quantico timeline, what we saw was a scary attack on the campus that, given so much recently violence in the world, was rather difficult to watch. The violence that followed was also tragic, given what we saw in the resulting aftermath. All of this was really gut-wrenching for Nimah, Rayna, and other characters … but we still wondered how much it connected to the future story, which is the more compelling of the two by far as Hannah finally got on board what Alex and Simon are up to after realizing that what she said about Natalie may have been true. For the time being, Alex has a brief reprieve. (We imagine that “brief” is the operating term.)
One other interesting cliffhanger? It seems that Caleb is finally ready to spill the beans on a certain alter-ego to someone…
At this point, you’re probably not watching “Quantico” unless you are a fan of its particular band of crazy, so you can ignore some of its soapy flaws and focus more on what it does best: Giving you shocking, twisted stories that week in and week out, continue to stun and surprise. Sometimes, things don’t always make sense, and we just have to accept that.
