‘The X Factor’ UK: Louis Tomlinson not going to judge new season

While there were some significant rumors for some time linking Louis Tomlinson to a char for the upcoming season of “The X Factor,” we now come bearing some bad news: It does not really look as though it is going to happen in the near future.

According to the Mirror, a source claims that the One Direction member is going to be busy doing a variety of other things this year, and with that he will not have time to be back in the UK filming audition shows and the like:

“Louis loves The X Factor but wants to develop his label further this year and sign more new talent … Simon understands. They both agreed to not rule out him being an X Factor judge in the future.”

This source also makes it clear that Louis is living for much of this year in Los Angeles, where he is getting to be more of a hands-on father to his baby boy. Given that much of his time beyond that could be spent back in England recording and touring, it makes a little bit of sense that he would want to spend as much time as humanly possible in the city with his son at the moment. There will always be some other times to judge, if he wants to … provided that some of these rumors turn out to be true in the first place.

The new “X Factor” season premieres this fall, and we’ll likely have more news on the judges before then.
