‘Orphan Black’ season 4: Aftershow ‘After the Black’ coming to America
For those of you who have been wanting more of an immersive “Orphan Black” experience, have no fear: This is coming your way sooner rather than later.
This weekend, BBC America confirmed that they will be airing for the first time the Space aftershow entitled “After the Black” hosted by Ajay Fry, Morgan Hoffman and Teddy Wilson following new episodes on Thursday nights (the show’s new night). “Orphan Black” proper premieres on Thursday, April 14 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, and the aftershow will follow at eleven with star Tatiana Maslany serving as one of the first guests.
This show first aired on Space during season 3, and it’s a wise move for BBC America to pick it up. While “Orphan Black” is not the highest-rated cable show out there, it does have a loyal audience and this is a further extension of the brand. If you are able to make your show into more of an event, you may be able to convince more people to watch. We feel like that is one of many reasons why “Talking Dead” really works so well for AMC; it’s a show that you can interact with and be in the moment for, but you have to make sure that you watch live in order for that to happen.
We imagine that there’ll be so much more news when it comes to “Orphan Black” before we get around to the show’s premiere, and with that in mind, our one bit of advice to you is to stay tuned.
