Before ‘The Night Manager’ finale airs, check out Tom Hiddleston talk James Bond rumors
Is it possible that tom Hiddleston could end up becoming the next 007? It’s certainly not something that you should rule out, but for the time being, it’s clear that the actor is rather busy. In addition to playing a leading role on BBC’s “The Night Manager,” which is ending its six-episode run with an epic finale on Sunday. It’s certainly possible that this series could end up being renewed for more installments down the road, but for now nothing is confirmed and we’re left just sitting around and wondering precisely what the network wants to do.
Speaking on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” earlier this week, Hiddleston further discussed the James Bond rumors, and even cited his work on “The Night Manager” (which will air this spring on AMC) as one of the reasons why there is so much conversation on the subject:
“‘Who’s gonna be James Bond?’ is one of the nation’s favourite pub conversations, up there with ‘Who’s gonna win X Factor?’ and ‘Is Britain gonna leave the EU?’ I play a British spy in The Night Manager so people I think have made the link. I mean, as somebody who grew up with Sean Connery and Roger Moore, when you mention it there’s a part of me that goes, ‘Really? Are you kidding?”
Personally, we’d like to see it, though at the same time we also do want to see more of “The Night Manager”; hopefully, Hiddleston would have an opportunity to do both should the need arise.
