‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 8 reunion review (part 2): Cynthia and Peter talk marriage
The first part of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion went a lot smoother then we thought it would – that is until the last ten minutes when Kenya Moore and Kim Fields went to battle. This is a relationship we would’ve liked to have seen progress next season, but as Kim has said, she won’t be returning unfortunately. The preview for tonight’s episode showed a lot of shade being thrown at everyone there, so if you were looking for drama, then tonight looks like it will be right up your alley.
The boat fight: There was some talk about the physical fight between Cynthia and Porsha, but once Kenya jumped into the talk it turned badly quickly as Kenya and Porsha started fighting about different men they’ve each had (including a one eyed married man allegedly), and the physical fights that have happened over the past few seasons and who’s to blame. Nothing got resolved – no surprise here.
Cynthia and Peter: Peter was there tonight and said that their marriage is really great, even though he’s still in Charlotte all the time and she doesn’t visit him. Andy says that it sounds like they are separated, but he says that they aren’t and are just focusing on their businesses. Andy brought up the video and Peter says that while he knows that he looks guilty, he knows that he’s not and Cynthia agrees saying that if Peter was going to cheat she thinks that he would be more discreet about it then to openly come on to a woman in a packed club.
We also had small updates on Phaedra taking her kids to jail, saying that there was some naughty nonsense happening between two other people at the jail in front of her kids. Kenya talked about trying to talk to her mom and that no matter if the cameras were there or not her mom wouldn’t have talked to her. There wasn’t much that we learned tonight that we hadn’t already heard during the season to be honest and as much as we love these ladies, we don’t understand why these reunions are as many episodes as they are. Episode grade: C+
