‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 6, episode 18 review: Can we move on from the Munchausen storyline?

RHOBHWhen we last left the ladies of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” they were in Dubai fighting and partying it up. This is the kind of stuff we love about this show – the incredible glamour and glitz of it all, but it looks like tonight will be going back to a lot of the same drama the ladies have been rehashing all season long.

Lisa Rinna used the word “enraged” at dinner when talking about her feelings towards the picture of Yolanda out to lunch with Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards the same day she bowed out from going to Erika’s party and while Erika had no problem with it, Lisa R. did. After using the word “enraged”, it’s sticking in Erika’s mind as she feels there’s a deeper problem that Lisa R. has with Yolanda to get that upset, so Eileen tries to get to the bottom of it since she thinks that Lisa R. just used a bigger word to express that she’s upset and it’s all blow out of proportion. Eileen is also getting annoyed that Lisa R. is saying a lot to her about Lisa V., but won’t speak up when she’s around, but to us it seems that Lisa R. just wants to blow off some steam with her friend and isn’t looking for a fight, where as it seems that Eileen wants to pull in more people to fight on her side against Lisa V.

At dinner, Erika asks Lisa R. if she likes Yolanda and she responds by saying that their relationship will take some time – way to avoid it Lisa! In return, Lisa R. asks what Erika thinks about her and Erika says that she likes Lisa more now then she first did because it takes time for her to trust. Lisa asks if Erika judges her and she says no, but when asked back to Lisa R. she says that she does. Lisa R. says that when she first saw Erika’s “Painkiller” video she thought it was too sexy, but when she calls Lisa R. out for posing for a men’s magazine she doesn’t seem to get the hypocrisy.

The Munchausen thing is still a topic of discussion (and to be honest we are really over this storyline now, it’s been dragging on way too long this season), as Lisa R. confronts Lisa V. about her part in it, saying that Lisa V. and Kyle had been talking about whether or not Yolanda’s illness is real that and that when she mentioned Munchausen all the blame sat solely with Lisa R. When Lisa V. denies any role in the situation including asking Lisa R. “why didn’t you bring Kyle into it”, Lisa R. says that her eyes are wide open now to what Eileen has been saying all along about Lisa V.

Later, Lisa R. repeats the Lisa V. conversation to Kyle, who confirms that Lisa V. did say “why didn’t you bring Kyle into it?” Kyle reveals that she told Lisa V. that if she lights the match under Kyle, that she will take her down with her in flames. Even though Kyle knows all of this (and has for months), she says she’s not upset with it because she is in a good place with Lisa V. right now and doesn’t want it to go back to the way it was over this nonsense.

Regardless of Kyle’s feelings to let sleeping dogs lie, Lisa R. opens the flood gates about Kyle and Lisa V.’s involvement in front of the group. They discuss this in length… again… and it ends with Kyle defending Lisa V. saying that maybe she messed up by saying what she said, but that she has left it in the past and has moved on, just like we would all like to move on from this storyline.

Mixed with the drama, there was a lot of amazing experiences that only the very rich could enjoy, like swimming with sea lions, having a private falcon show in the desert, an extravagant Arabian Night’s dinner complete with camel milk tea and a night cap at Nobu (for those of you who don’t know Nobu, it’s a restaurant where we once went and had a dessert cake the size of a golf ball for 16 dollars). We are really over the Munchausen storyline, it’s so drawn out and needs to end – it’s killing this season. Episode grade: C+
