‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 19 preview: ‘Tribute’ speculation for Shemar Moore’s Morgan
We were very worried going into Wednesday night’s new episode of “Criminal Minds,” and we definitely had to admit that we were even more worried once we starting to learn a thing or two about CBS and their plans for the next new episode of the show.
Typically, the network tends to release synopses for their episodes in advance, but they haven’t done that for next week. It’s similar to what they did this time around for “A Beautiful Disaster.” All we know for certain is that the episode is titled “Tribute,” and it will be the last before a one-week hiatus. Interestingly the show has released some details beyond this installment, but they don’t tell you much about the story for Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), who has delivered a phenomenal performance as of late.
Ultimately, we now know the reason why the network has not exactly been to keen on sharing information about “Tribute.” At the end of tonight’s episode, Derek was written out of the show as he made the decision to go off and be with his child. It’s certainly something that we understand, but of course it will be rather difficult for some of these characters to move forward without him being a part of the team. Much of the next few episodes of the show could be focusing very much on this process, and the various ways in which Morgan’s departure impacts some of the people across the board.
We’ll have more news every step of the way, so stay tuned.

It’s just too hard for me to write much down here on the floor — where I’m still looking for my jaw.

I think he could still come back at least as a guest star!
