‘Billions’ episode 10 preview: Gains and losses

We are getting near the end of the road on “Billions” this season, and perhaps the biggest surprise of all right now is simply that Axe and Rhoades are both still at one another’s throats. Nobody has is behind bars just yet, and instead, they are going to descent further and further into darkness in order to save their own hide, and take down the other person in the process. We’ve certainly known that these two have their differences, but they are going to be explored now in a far greater way than ever before.

Given where we are right now in the run of the show, we have to assume that almost everything is going to build to some sort of final showdown soon. There are still two installments after this, and those two will have the challenge of not just ending this conflict for now, but also setting the stage for whatever the second season come be. It seems like on paper, it’d be the right move to keep Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti around … but who knows? Maybe the show will surprise us with introducing a new character or two to help pick up the metaphorical torch and carry it forward. Time will tell.
