‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 8 reunion review (part 1): Kim Fields vs. Kenya Moore

Kim Fields RHOA

Through much of the early part of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 6, one of our biggest concerns was whether or not Kim Fields was bringing much to the table when it comes to drama. Well, let’s just say now that after watching the first part of the reunion show. We’re really not having that exact concern anymore.

Following a lengthy fight with Kenya Moore that included talk on everything from Kim “fitting in” to Kenya’s pilot “Life Twirls On,” the two descended into basically shouting a clapping at each other. Let’s just say that accomplished next to nothing. In hear some of the other ladies talk about the former “Facts of Life” star, our sentiment is ultimately that these people would be just fine if she never returns to the show again. That does bum us out ever so slightly, but it is what it is with this show and it’s up to Bravo to make that decision.

As for some other highlights from the reunion..

Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks are … ok – While Phaedra did reach out after Kandi welcomed her baby boy Ace, these two still do have their work cut out for them to get on the same page. Both admitted some faults, and it does seem like they want to move forward. Most of their problems do seem to stem from reasonably normal issues rather than silly show things.

Porsha Williams is an aunt – Seriously, that may be the most notable thing from her in part one. Who thought that she would get so overshadowed here? This reunion was okay, but it ultimately feels a lot like so many others that we’ve seen. Grade: C+.
