‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 15 video: Barnes has some bad news for Jim Gordon
Monday night’s new episode of “Gotham” is going to have a pretty wide array of priorities, and many of them involve tying up some loose ends from the past several weeks. One of the biggest ones still is the dark cloud hovering over the death of Theo Galavan.
While Captain Barnes may at times be a little bit frustrating when it comes to his whole M.O. of seeing things only through a lens of black and white, the truth here is that he is a good cop and became Captain for a reason. Therefore, you cannot be too shocked that he never let go of the whole carrot of Jim Gordon knowing way more about the death of Theo Galavan than he ever let on. While he’s chosen for the most part to try to stay quiet about his suspicions, they’ve always been there … and in the sneak peek below, everything is starting to rise to the surface.
In this particular sneak peek, Barnes makes it abundantly clear to Gordon that the file about Galavant’s case is being re-opened, and as a result of that, there are some different things that are going to need to be resolved. One of the biggest ones is trying to figure out whether or not Gordon was responsible for what happened, since an anonymous tipster seems very keen on turning Gordon over to the proper authorities. Not only that, but they are also keen on implicating him, citing the umbrella that was not public knowledge.
Ultimately, this little detail is what makes this a big deal rather than a mere blip on the radar, and something Gordon is going to have to deal with moving forward.
