ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 15 video: One more Nathan Fillion – Stana Katic tease
At some point, Castle and Beckett have to just decide to be together again, right? That’s a question many “Castle” fans have to be wondering, and based on the latest sneak peek below for Monday night’s new episode, it now seems even closer to happening than ever before.
The primary subject matter of this sneak peek is pretty clear: Beckett having to hide from Castle’s mom. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters think that they have organized a nice breakfast for themselves, not realizing at the same time that Martha is stopping by to pay a visit. She claims at first that she is there in order to make breakfast, but the reality here actually is that this is all a plot so that she can show Rick the dedication to her new book.
Eventually, Beckett does get out through the bedroom, and while we find this for the most part to be a fairly-funny and charming moment for the two characters, the question still of course does need to be asked: How long can this show really manage to keep this going? Sooner or later, we’re inevitably going to arrive at a point in which they cannot continue to keep things a secret or simply don’t want to. As a matter of fact, to us it really feels almost like they should have just called this a day a long time ago, given that we really don’t think it makes much of a difference once way or another what their relationship status is. Isn’t LokSat wise enough to figure out who they are and see right through any sort of ploy that they may have going on?

I keep waiting for the show to show some spirit, there is none. I keep waiting for there to be some sweetness in the show. none. At least we did not have to see the second Mother of show Lexis last night, she acts like she is Castle’s wife and mother. I do not know what world the writer’s are from but they have done a great job of tearing this show up. I am watching the other season’s on TNT and they are great shows I can watch and watch again but shows that are on now are all wrong, but what do I know, I just watch the show hoping for something better.

Acting like teenagers is not appealing. How old are they? This is so old.

They [winter/hawley] must be joking. This scene would have been funny 10 episodes ago. At this point in time it is exceedingly annoying. This running joke has been beaten to death, well actually, pulverized. The writers have lost touch with the dwindling fan base, and the proof is in the ratings, in season 6 the demo was 2.4 with 12.62 million viewers, now it is a 1.1 demo with 5.6million viewers and this scene will probably frustrate another large portion of the fan base, what was funny then is no longer funny, what was intriguing then is boring now. It also dimminishes the prospects for a satifiying end to the season and the series. It is sad how far this once glorious show has fallen.

Matt you have that right ,I guess the writers think Loksat and viewers are clueless. I hope we get another season but I think the stars have other projects on the burners. I also think the actors found that with this new direction of the writers, they finally realized they stay too long .
