‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 17 preview: Why is Alicia hiring Jason?
Jason Crouse and Alicia Florrick have definitely had a close relationship over the course of “The Good Wife” season 7 so far, and by “close” we of course mean a wide array of things. They’ve worked together personally, and they’ve spent a lot of time together romantically.
At this point, though, Alicia is starting to realize that things are hitting a tipping point in her life where her family basically needs an investigator of Jason’s caliber to make sure that nothing terrible happens to them. Thanks to Connor Fox’s investigation into Peter Florrick, a ripple effect is starting across her family. Alicia’s daughter has been accused of plagiarizing a college entrance exam, and this is likely due to the reputation that has now been created about her family in the press.
Therefore, Alicia is going to need all the help that she can trying to patch things up, and really ensure that her family is both safe and protected the rest of the way not just this season, but also the series. Of course, the downside to all of this is that in turn, she is running a little bit of a risk right now that Jason knows all about her dirty laundry, which is not necessarily something that you love given that this is hardly a family with a squeaky-clean reputation.
We’ll be back with a full review of this episode soon, and hopefully with that we’ll have some more insight into how the endgame of the series is shaping up.
