‘Mr. Robot’ season 2 scores ‘The Daily Show’ alum for guest spot

“Mr. Robot” season 2 is building quite the eclectic guest cast with Craig Robinson recently joining the fold, and we’re now rather happy to know for sure about one other notable name who is now signing up to be a part of the USA hit.

According to a new report from Deadline, Aasif Mandvi of “The Daily Show” fame is going to be turning up in at least one upcoming episode as Jesse, a special agent who is apparently described as being a little bit of a “dog.” This role is one of many things that the actor (who recently appeared on “Madam Secretary”) has written in on the schedule, as he is also going to be appearing in the latest Netflix adaptation of “Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events.”

The second season of “Mr. Robot” could easily be the most challenging installment of arguably the show’s entire run, if for no other reason than that they are having to contend with rather-enormous expectations across the board. Everyone now knows just what sort of amazing potential that the show has, and with that of course always comes heightened expectations to try and make certain that almost every episode from here on out manages to match this in some way.

We will have some other news on the series soon, whether it be about casting or something else entirely. For the time being, our advice is simply to be on the lookout.
