‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Meet the show’s Clayface!

“Gotham” is getting set to introduce Clayface into the world of the show later this season, but it could be a little bit of a different version of the character than the one that many people out there are currently accustomed to seeing.

In news that was first reported by ComicBook.com, Brian McManamon (“Gossip Girl”) is going to be playing Boris Karlo on an upcoming episode of the Fox series. Carlo is one of the earliest incarnations of the character, and he is an actor who, upon realizing a movie is being remade without him, goes into a rage and dresses up as the monster made famous in the movie before killing several cast members. We believe that it will likely be this version of the character the show chooses to use more so than the more-recent one known from comics or the animated series.

Is it possible that Karlo actually turns into that at some point? We suppose so, but the show would have to lean into more. They are only starting to show now courtesy of Hugo Strange and some of his experiments that the impossible can become possible, such as Mr. Freeze needing that suit in order to survive. They’ll probably continue to do this moving forward.

At the moment, there is probably no one defined Big Bad the rest of season 2. We imagine that we will see Victor Fries again, while at the same time Hugo Strange, Oswald Cobblepot, and Edward Nygma will all have their work cut out for them here and there.
