‘Game of Thrones’ season 6: Liam Cunningham hypes up tremendous sequence

Davos -

We do very much know that there are many examples of great things to come on “Game of Thrones” season 6, but at times, you could also say that the show is a victim of vast hyperbole. Going into almost every season, it walks a tightrope by having many of the cast go out and proclaim that one thing or another is bigger or better than anything that we have seen to date. It’s a dangerous game, but it is something that they are still more than willing to try or engage in.

Now going into season 6, we’re seeing the same exact thing … albeit in the vaguest terms imaginable. Speaking to TVLine, Liam Cunningham passed along the following message on the subject of what you can expect to see from one particularly-ambitious scene:

“There is a section as the season progresses that we haven’t tackled before, size-wise. It’s incredibly cinematic. It took an incredibly long time to shoot… I probably shouldn’t be telling you this: It’s going to blow out of the water what has happened in the previous seasons combined.”

While these are the sort of comments that do at times leave us a little bit wary, the truth here is that in this particular instance, we’re inclined to believe what we are hearing. After all, “Game of Thrones” does have the sort of viewership and budget to continue to top itself week in and week out with some of its storylines, which is why we are enormously confident right now that they have probably found another unique way in which to do so.
