‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3: Will Wallace mystery be primary story?
At the moment, we certainly would understand if you were still reeling from the shocking end to “How to Get Away with Murder” season 2. After all, let’s just say that there is at least one more murder that is on the books for next season.
In the closing seconds of the finale, Wes’ biological father Wallace was shot by an unknown assailant right as the character confronted him on the street. There are obviously some theories out there already with Frank being one of them, but the reality is that it’s possible that the writers haven’t even figured it out just yet. Meanwhile, there’s no telling how quickly it will be resolved. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in a postmortem interview, all creator Pete Nowalk would saw is the following:
“We don’t go back to working on the third season until May, but Wes’ childhood and who his father is — that’s a major part of his life. So whether it’s something that we answer quickly, like who killed Rebecca (Katie Findlay) in the premiere, or the version where we extend it … I haven’t decided that yet.”
One thing that Nowalk said he would like to explore more of in the third season is Annalise’s family history, which we would personally be more than thrilled to see given that there are clearly some interesting dynamics there that have not been explored to the fullest extent of our liking just yet. Really, the same could go for many key relationships on the show with characters and people from their past.
One last thing we’ll say here is more of a plea: Please don’t kill Frank. He’s too tortured and interesting to watch.
