‘Supergirl’ spoilers: New photo highlights Italia Ricci as Silver Banshee

“Supergirl” is in the process of heavily promoting their upcoming crossover episode with “The Flash” set to air on March 28, and there’s a heck of a lot to be excited about. We like to think that these newly-released photos are proof of that.

We’ll start with the photo above, given that this is one of the best looks that we’ve had a chance to see to date of the Silver Banshee character, who is the nefarious alter ego of Siobhan Smythe (Italia Ricci). This is a side of her that has yet to surface on the show, but we imagine this transformation will start to become a little bit more clear over the next couple of episodes. We like that the show went so hardcore when it comes to the makeup and the costuming here rather than opting for anything CGI-related or cheapening out by making the character appear a little less like her comic-book counterpart. For those who remember the character from the comics, this is a pretty great adaptation.

Ricci is seen here with Brit Morgan’s character of Livewire, and while it’s not entirely clear how she emerges as a co-villain for the episode, we imagine that it will be made clear soon. Both do have axes to grind with Cat Grant.

Meanwhile, the second image below is simply a nice shot of Supergirl and The Flash together, being ready to fight crime at any turn. It’s not altogether shocking, but it is just super-cool to see the two parties together.
