‘Supergirl’ spoilers: See first teaser for ‘The Flash’ crossover

While we know that there are new episodes of both “Supergirl” and “The Flash” coming before the big crossover event on CBS March 28, there is still no denying the fact that this is what many people out there are the most excited to see.

In the video below, you can see what is basically the tiniest tease possible of Barry Allen and Kara Zor-El meeting up. This doesn’t really offer up a whole lot of insight in regards to the story of the event, but we can tell you a thing or two about it now. It doesn’t appear necessarily that Barry’s arrival in National City is intentional, he may be somewhat reliant on Supergirl and her friends in order to find her way back. Meanwhile, she could use his help thwarting a pair of villains in Livewire and Silver Banshee who are potentially set to wreck some havoc. We know that you haven’t seen the birth of the Banshee happen just yet, but we imagine that this will be a component of next week’s episode.

One of the ironies of the crossover is that we actually think that “Supergirl” could benefit more from it at this point than “The Flash,” even though the latter airs on a smaller network in The CW. The ratings for the former series have fallen as of late, with it hitting a series-low 1.3 in the 18-49 demographic Monday night. Fans of “The Flash” should come over and check this out; unfortunately, there’s no indication that Melissa Benoist will be heading to Central City anytime soon, but we’ll let you know if that changes.
