Ratings: ‘Agents of SHIELD’ falls further; ‘Crowded’ starts okay; ‘NCIS’ reasonably steady for 300th episode
Is there good news from Tuesday night’s primetime lineup? In the end, we figure that this very much depends on what you consider to be “good news.”
The winners – We suppose that we will throw the comedy “Crowded” on here, given that it averaged a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic over the course of its back-to-back episodes that aired following “The Voice.” This is well and good as a start to the show, but we’re not going to lie and act like this is a show that will be smooth sailing the rest of the way since that lead-in can be rather deceiving.
The losers – In first conceptualizing this article we thought that that we’d give “NCIS” a modest thumbs-up for getting a 2.0 for its 300th episode, though not that big of one. Then, we remembered that this still matches one of the show’s lowest-rated episodes ever, and given that we’re talking about a milestone hour for one of TV’s longest-running shows, we expected better than something that barely held on to the ratings for the week before.
Elsewhere, there were disasters all over the place. Talk about “Fresh Off the Boat” (1.1) or “New Girl” (1.0) each losing over 18% of their demo audience, ABC’s flop-tacular “Of Kings and Prophets” already going down to a 0.5 rating, or “Agents of SHIELD” sliding further to a 1.0. To think, both this series and “Fresh Off the Boat” were already renewed, and these ratings mean that new ABC head Channing Dungey is going to have her work cut out for her trying to sift through some of this colossal mess.

Ok, so if NCIS ratings stays like this in finales, this will mean the show has never went below 2.0 and 10 mio. in 300th episodes and 13 years. What about that ?!?

it’s very impressive. It’s a tremendous show. It will hopefully keep these type of ratings(or better) next season when Michael Weatherly is gone. It goes up against some tough Reality Show competition almost every week.

The act of it certainly is! I was comparing it more relative to the other episodes in S13; I don’t think anyone can deny that they’ve made some tremendous achievements being the most-watched show in the world
