‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 6 finale review: A wedding, and what we know about Alice Sands
Through most of the back half of “Rizzoli & Isles” season 6, one of the larger mysteries has been trying to figure out what exactly is happening with Jane’s stalker. We now know that her name is Alice Sands, and moving forward, one of the other major questions we have is if we’re going to learn a thing or two more about why she has done some of what she has.
Before we get too far down that rabbit hole, though, let’s focus on the happier news: Kiki and Korsak are married! Their wedding came almost out of nowhere in the episode, but we’re also not that upset about it since there were some entertaining moments almost all around it. “Too much swinging” is one particular moment that came out of it. Also, you have Kent sporting a kilt.
Through most of the whole wedding sequence, though, we knew that the show wasn’t exactly going to end on that … and there would be more story coming up on the other side. Actually, the rest of the story came during the reception, when right during the middle of the celebration and after a super-sweet toast from Jane we ended up hearing a gunshot. Jane seemed ready to protect Korsak, but we’re not exactly sure if the target hit anyone at all. It’s a heck of a way to end this season.
The disappointment in the episode comes in that we really didn’t learn too much about Alice, other than that she has a son / someone she calls a son, and maybe he is someone who could be in part responsible for all of this. This story will continue, but we hope Jane and Maura (who had some fun moments near the end of the finale) can tie things together sooner rather than later. Episode Grade: B+.

Episode grade, maybe D-, should be an F, no effort whatsoever to give an interesting story regarding who is going after Jane, no real closeness still between Maura and Jane, they just don’t seem at all like they use to, certainly not best friends.
