‘Happy Valley’ season 3 reportedly renewed before season 2 finale
For anyone out there watching the “Happy Valley” finale tonight and wondering precisely what the future holds, perhaps the following news can illuminate things at least somewhat: The show is seemingly coming back for a third season.
According to The Sun, the third season will contain a wide variety of new and interesting developments, and also give you more than likely some other devastating plotlines to sift through. There is no premiere date for the season just yet, but part of the reason for that could just be that it has not been officially renewed as of yet. These announcements can take time, but the sources behind this are strong enough to suggest that it is coming. Not only that, but the series has delivered some pretty-great ratings. That is typically an indication of things to come.
The show will be coming to Netflix hopefully soon with the second season, that way some viewers in America can have a chance to enjoy what is an excellent series. It’s not always a flashy one, but its no-frills approach is ultimately a part of what it is so well-regarded. It also is a part of a really great contingent of British programming on the service, even if they did not exactly make us pleased by getting rid of “Fawlty Towers” (in our mind one of the greatest comedies of all time) and “Doctor Who.”
As for when the third season could premiere, you could be waiting for a while. Remember here that it was almost two years between the end of season 1 and the start of season 2.
