‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: When could season with Caila Quinn (or someone else) start filming?

Caila -Monday night marks the big finale of “The Bachelor,” and at the same time it will also be the big reveal of who will be the next star of “The Bachelorette.” It’s the same exact format as we’ve always had, with the leading lady being revealed at the tail end of the “After the Final Rose.”

As for who it is, all signs at the moment seem to be Caila Quinn. She’s the third-place finisher, and that’s a pretty common spot for a future leading lady. She also had prime real estate during the “Women Tell All” special, and she’s got the sort of demeanor that ABC really likes for its leads. You can almost imagine her talking about dates being akin to fairy tales right now! (Personally, we would rather see JoJo Fletcher or Jubilee Sharpe as the lead, but we’re not someone who cares too much since the contestants really make the season.)

No matter who the star of the season is, it won’t be long until filming officially begins. Specifically, production of a new season is typically underway within a week or two of “The Bachelor” ending, which is a really-tight timeframe. Remember, though, that filming for “The Bachelor” is over by Thanksgiving typically, and some women are sent home weeks before the finale. That’s a good bit of time to start to move forward.

The biggest struggle to us has to come courtesy of the editing for the show, given that filming for “The Bachelorette” tends to wrap up right around the time that the show gets set to start airing. Expect it to come back in May.
