‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 18 video: Mariana, Jesus try to help Gabe

Over the past few weeks, “The Fosters” has given us a bit of a snapshot as to everything that is going on in regards to Gabe, a certain biological father who doesn’t really seem to want anything to do with Mariana and Jesus. he is listed as a registered sex offender, but at the same time his circumstances are significantly different than a number of other unquestionably horrible people on that list. This is what makes this show such a standout in many ways; it makes it abundantly clear that this is a world full of gray areas, and it is rare that almost anything is strictly black or white.

Given the sort of people that both Mariana and Jesus have shown themselves to be from time to time, we’re not even remotely surprised that they are doing almost everything that they can in order to help them. In the sneak peek below they tell Lena and Stef about some of the letters they are compiling to try to help him out, and they would like a little bit of help from them in the process.

Are they going to get it? Some signs do point to yes, and we hope that there are still some other developments that come up here to keep this complicated. There are two more episodes beyond this one, and we do not imagine that things for Gabe are going to suddenly get easier just because there are some letters being written for him.
