‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 14 video: The hunt for Matches Malone

For everyone out there who has been curious to see just how far Bruce Wayne is going to go in his quest for revenge, we think that the promo below for Monday night’s new episode of “Gotham” is a pretty good indicator. This is a guy who may be only a kid, but at the same time he knows precisely what he wants and how he wants to do it … and really doesn’t seem to care if he ends up hurting / frustrating anyone else in the process.

Take, for example, the story of Matches Malone. Bruce has learned that this character may be in some way responsible for the death of his parents, and as a result of that, he understandably wants justice. Now that we’ve said that, don’t there have to be some better ways for him to do it than to become a vigilante in his own right? Probably, but we’re not entirely sure that Bruce is really able to think that clearly in this moment. Instead, he’s simply enraged.

We never imagined that at this point in the show’s run we would see the character carrying a gun, but in some ways it does make some sense. While we cannot exactly imagine him pulling the trigger just yet, this could be another necessarily evolution on his road to Batman.

Also, there’s one other part of this promo that is worth remembering: It appears as though Malone may have only been a hired gun. Who wants to bet that he never actually met the person / persons who hired him?
