‘Prison Break’ revival officially gets Sarah Wayne Callies on board
For those of who wondering, it’s finally official that Sarah Wayne Callies is back on “Prison Break.” Sure, you likely assumed this given all of the evidence that was out there already, but isn’t it nice to finally have this whole project coming together?
Per IGN, Fox revealed the official synopsis for the big project, which is going to take place apparently after Michael’s death (a point of confusion), and could feature a broad, elaborate plot where the character could still be alive after all:
“In the drama’s new chapter, which picks up after Michael’s apparent death, Sara has moved on with her life, raising her and Michael’s child with her new husband (previously announced guest star Mark Feuerstein, Royal Pains). When clues surface that suggest Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever. Additional casting to be announced.”
This new revival is slated, last we heard, to last for about nine episodes, which means that this could be a perfect project for Fox to launch earlier next year, maybe in a method that is similar to what they did recently to “The X-Files.” Scheduling-wise, this would make a lot of sense, and we’d be honestly surprised if the David Duchovny – Gillian Anderson series is back in early 2017. Fox will almost surely order more of the show, but these two have such busy schedules that the idea of them being able to tell more stories in the near future seems unlikely.
So for now, let’s just look to the future of “Prison Break” and embrace it fully!
