‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, episode 17 video: Tension mounts with Jamie, Danny Reagan

After a brief hiatus “Blue Bloods” is returning to the air on Friday night, and in the process of doing so, it is going to see two members of the Reagan family down each other’s throats.

So why the new-found tension between Jamie and Danny? Much of the reason for it stems from a new rookie to the force, someone with personal connections to Danny, and someone he wants Jamie to help train. That’s bad news for Jamie, given that it is revealed rather quickly that he has a short fuse and a habit of causing trouble.

Now comes the tension. There are some rookies, whether it be on the force or really in any job, that can be adequately trained to be better. However, at the same exact time there are also some others that simply cannot ever realize the difference between right and wrong. Jamie tries to tell this to his hard-headed brother, but he opts not to listen and lays the blame more at his feet. Eventually, you can expect to see Frank come in and try to intervene in hopes of making the problem go away.

Hopefully, there will be some sort of resolution to this story over the course of the hour, and we also hope that eventually either Jamie or Danny learns something as a result. In particular, sometimes we feel like the latter gets off a little scot-free when he screws up, so this would be a good opportunity for him to experience some sort of a lesson. In the end, who knows? It could make him a much better cop when the dust settles.
