‘Supergirl’ episode 16 video: New look at ‘Falling,’ dark side of Kara Zor-El

On Monday night, “Supergirl” is going to finally return to CBS with new episodes, and it certainly looks like the next new installment is going to be a shocking one and then some. How else do you describe something that is going to feature the show’s title character more or less breaking bad?

Just in case you were worried that this character is in some way turning over to the dark side, the answer you should know is this: She’s not of her own mind. After being exposed to red krpytonite, you are going to start to see Kara on this episode have a multitude of things fall apart for her. It’s not going to be particularly easy for her to handle, since she will not be in control.

With this in mind, it’s going to be up to many of the people she loves to figure out a way to bring her back to the person that they know and love. It’s lucky that they have an organization like the DEO in this world, since otherwise who knows if there would be a way for the city to be safe?

In the long-term, we imagine that the bigger issue here is how you are able to keep Supergirl away from this stuff so that it doesn’t happen again. Is there a way to give her an immunity, or just find all of the red kryptonite in the nearest vicinity? In some way, it feels like both ideas have to be explored so that everyone can feel a little safer.
