Is ‘Chicago PD’ season 3, episode 18 new tonight on NBC? More on what lies ahead

We should begin this “Chicago PD” article with the honest / sad truth for anyone holding out hope for a new episode coming on NBC Wednesday night: It’s just not happening. The show is not returning until March 23, so you’ll just have to hold onto the memories of that brutal Jay Halstead story for a little while as you wait to see what the writers come up with next in terms of ambitious ideas.

For the most part, the biggest thing that we’re hoping to see when the show returns is some more development for Lindsay and Halstead, and then also some sort of movement forward in Voight’s life away from the force. For so much of this season, we’ve come to know a lot more about his past; however, at the same time, isn’t there some value that can be had in learning more about the future?

You may have known already that “Kasual with a K” was the title for the show’s first episode back, and since we wanted to give you at least some other sort of scoop in this article beyond what we’ve already said, here’s another title: Per the Futon Critic, the name for the upcoming episode on March 30 is “If We Were Normal,” which is certainly an odd title for an episode of this show to have given that it’s hard for any of these characters to be normal thanks to the strenuous nature of this job.

Hopefully, NBC will release the synopsis for the latter episode soon, that way we can have something more to discuss.
