‘The X Factor’ UK: Alesha Dixon explains choosing ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ over show

The latest news -While it’s not entirely clear that Alesha Dixon was ever even offered a role as a judge on “The X Factor,” the singer is making one thing rather clear: She doesn’t want one. What’s the reason for that? More than anything else, it stems from the fact that she is extremely happy at the moment with her job judging “Britain’s Got Talent,” which allows her a chance to do a variety of fun things thanks to the varied crop of contestants.

In speaking out on this particular gig further in a chat with the Express, Dixon made the following message clear about her current job vs. any prospective new one on board Simon Cowell’s other show:

“I love Britain’s Got Talent and the fact that it’s a variety show … I love that it’s light-hearted family entertainment… they are tonally very different. I think the tone of BGT suits my personality more.”

Honestly, we also think what Dixon is saying here is one of the primary reasons why the ratings for “The X Factor” have fallen while they have stayed relatively near the same for the other show. Ultimately, people just tend to enjoy one show more so than the other. “BGT” is so silly at times and inspirational, and it doesn’t put its contestants through hell in anywhere near the same way that “Better Call Saul” does. It is by and large the softer, kinder alternative than anything that is being done elsewhere.
