‘Sherlock’ season 4 production starting to come together; filming starting soon
For everyone who wants more “Sherlock,” we certainly do not blame you. “The Abominable Bride” was a wonderfully cerebral and entertaining product, and given that it has been now over two years since there were some regular episodes that came on the air, we’re right there with everyone clamoring to see what is going to be coming up next.
Unfortunately, filming has not started up yet, but based on some photographic evidence that is out there, we can tell you that there are some sets being constructed already. Season 4 of the BBC titan is going to be filming in Wales later this spring, with some location work also potentially having elsewhere. There is no news just yet on an official premiere date, but our guess is that Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman will be back on your TV set at some point early next year.
In terms of story content, is there anything in particular that you should be excited to see? More so than anything else, the one thing we’re hoping for is something incredibly tangible, and not something that teeters on the philosophical or metaphorical in any way. We’ve already had that quite a bit now courtesy of the story of “The Abominable Bride,” and it is time to have something new.
While we’re sure that there will be plenty of photos released from filming, we’re not going to be sharing any of them here. Why? It’s really just a matter of personal philosophy, as we don’t think that there is any real merit in sharing these sort of photos that interrupt a creative process unless they are official.
