‘Poldark’ season 2: See Aidan Turner celebrate end of filming

PoldarkLast week, we posted that some of the cast of “Poldark” was starting to wrap up their second season in Cornwall, and we are now pleased to say that the entire cast is as a whole not complete with filming!

In a post on Twitter, the show’s network in BBC One posted a photo of star Aidan Turner celebrating the completion of the series, which is going to air on the network at some point later this year. This role of Ross Poldark has made Turner a huge star all over the world, and following an intensely dramatic first season that featured romance, betrayal, pain, and so much more, we have a feeling that things will probably get worse before they start to get better.

Now, the hard part comes via waiting for these episodes to air. Part of the reason for the wait this time has to do with the show making ten episodes rather than eight; personally, we do feel like it is somewhat of a shame that we don’t get it in the spring given that it was a perfect way for the network to get a piece of the ratings pie in the spring, but at the same time airing it in the autumn will help to compensate for the lack of “Doctor Who” this time around. That show is not filming until a little later this year, and it should premiere, at least beyond the Christmas Special, at some point in 2017.

Hopefully, we’ll have more “Poldark” news to share in due time…
