ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 15 preview: The Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion story in ‘Fidelis Ad Mortem’
While Monday night’s new episode of “Castle” has not aired just yet, we’d figure that it would be best to go ahead and share with you a few details regarding “Fidelis Ad Mortem” airing on March 21 as a bit of a preemptive slice of hype.
First and foremost, we figure that we’ll go ahead and answer one other question, and that is what the title is a reference to. It’s the Latin translation of “faithful until death,” which certainly sounds rather similar to “til death do us part.” Don’t you think that this could translate to this being a huge episode of Castle and Beckett? The first synopsis released for the episode definitely does make it clear that both Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion have a rather large role to play:
“When a recruit officer at the NYPD Academy is killed, Beckett and the team go back to their old training ground to investigate. Meanwhile, Castle must reckon with a decision with profound consequences for him and Beckett.”
There’s been a little bit of press around this episode already, mostly because of the fact that Beckett is going to probably reminisce a little bit about some of her earlier time with the force. Still, we’re a little bummed that it seems like she and Castle are doing separate things at times in this episode. Hopefully, that will not be entirely reflected in the episode. (Sometimes, it’s just rather hard to figure that out when looking at just a couple of sentences.)

I agree, the writers are really bad – there is no continuity and consistency of the storyline anymore. The new show runners destroy the characters of the lead roles of the show. If they want the ratings to bounce back, they should let Marlowe save it. Beckett and Castle are the life of the show – without Beckett, it’s boring, there is no strong character.

Last night we had our Kate less episode, and our firefly family reunion and after many weeks of telling us how great this show was going to be. It fill flat on its face, with some of the same problems the first half of season 8 had, poor writing and running. Kate should have been with her husband, helping him with one of the most important things in his life. But no we had to have the Kate want to be (Toks). In the little preview we had of episode 15 when Kate came running into the loft stating she has had enough, I think she was talking about her career. Are we going to have Kate make a career change?

georgee, I think it is about them moving back in together and fighting Loksat. Although I think last night’s episode was a precursor to a spin-off featuring Hayley and Alexis as PIs .I don’t think it will work and also I was not real happy with Beckett not being in the episode not sure what the writers or stars are doing to a once good show.

IF all this time off that Kate (Stana) has is in her contract, she has one hell of a deal. She must have used Trumps book “The art of the deal”. But why couldn’t they gotten Kate into this episode a little more, even if if was just a phone texts message to Rick? This was one of the most important things in Castle life, and it looks like she just didn’t care. Maybe it is just the dislike Hawley has for her. Hawley wrote and ran this episode, and if I was the new president of ABC, I would have called him into my office and asked him what up with this BS. Or she could and should just fire him, before he completely destroys this show. Or has she just written this show and cares less.

Georgie, I really think the new head of ABC has written the show off. With Hawley in charge I know he doesn’t care he has another pilot already lined up ,just to bad he had to run this show into the ground and doesn’t seem to care.

In most other shows it is common that if you start something in one episode you continue or end it in the next. That being the case you would think that Castle’s decision would have something to do with how they proceed with moving back in together 24/7 and how they proceed with LokSat. I suspect that it will concern moving back together.
With all the references to Firefly and having the cast members from that on Castle I wondered if Castle would make it past episode 14 since Firefly did not. Thought it might be an omen maybe. Guess not but close.

No more new episodes of CASTLE until March 21st. I guess I’ll have to flip between NCIS:LA and Blindspot next week. I have a bad feeling that the March 7 episode of CASTLE may go fractional. There was no Beckett this week.

Michael Goldman,I do that now. That I think is why the show is sinking no Beckett .Not sure what TPTB and actors are working towards a cancellation maybe.
