Is ‘Supergirl’ episode 16 new tonight on CBS? More on what lies ahead

When you get into the months of March and April, CBS does tend to have a little bit of an unusual pattern when it comes to airing new episodes. They put a few installments on the air, they go on hiatus, they are some more new ones, and then they go on hiatus once more.

With all of this accounted for, there is no new episode of “Supergirl” airing on CBS tonight. The show is going to be on a brief one-week hiatus, and then will have a chance to return next week for an episode entitled “Falling” that will revolve around Kara being exposed to Red Kryptonite, which is going to cause her to act rather different. Specifically, she’ll be more of a danger to everyone she ends up coming in contact with. If you find yourself being one of those being who likes to see different sides of the character, this story could be for you.

The good news is that “Falling” is actually the first of three episodes of the show that will be airing in consecutive weeks. Here’s a brief rundown.

“Manhunter” (March 21) – While the network has not unveiled an official synopsis for the episode yet, we have to imagine that with a title like that, one of the primary focuses is going to be on the J’onn J’onzz storyline. We’ll have to wait and see if that sticks.

“Worlds Finest” (March 28) – Meanwhile, this installment will mark the big crossover with “The Flash,” as Grant Gustin stops by!
