‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 17 video: An awkward Brandon, Callie scene

On Monday night’s new episode of “The Fosters,” Brandon and Callie are going to continue to figure out, however difficult it may be, how they choose to define their relationship. They’re no longer together and feel like they can’t be due to their new circumstances, and thanks to that, they are trying to move on.

Apparently, doing this does come with a laundry list of do’s and don’ts. In the sneak peek below from Monday’s installment, the two have a conversation about an upcoming family function, one where Brandon feels like it would be a little bit of a better move for them to not bring their significant others around for a while to such events. Callie seems to agree, but more so than anything else the one defining emotion from this scene is awkwardness. Neither one of them seems altogether comfortable in what the other is saying, and much of that may still stem from them trying to figure out everything.

Is this going to start to become a little bit clearer over time? We definitely hope so, since the last thing that we want to see is these two continue to struggle with figuring out where they stand for the remainder of the season. If they’re not going to be together, they can at least figure out how to be supportive. Sooner or later, that would of course mean having to see them with other people.

Everything in this world is complicated, though, so who is to say that the two are really over even in spite of the adoption?
