‘Fear the Walking Dead’ season 2 spoilers: All about potential new destinations

Poster -While we are currently in the thick of “The Walking Dead” season 6, it’s really not too long at all until “Fear the Walking Dead” season 2 comes onto AMC with new episodes. The premiere date is Sunday, December 10, and there are a wide array of different things that the show is going to explore, from survival out at sea to how different cultures and people are reacting to the apocalypse.

One thing for sure that you should know is that it’s hardly as though the main cast of characters will stay at sea forever. As showrunner Dave Erickson tells The Hollywood Reporter, the possibilities are for the most part fairly limitless:

“The great thing about the boat is she can go 2,000-3,000 miles if they don’t work the engines. That’s a big question when we start the season: Are we going to go back to Vancouver [where parts of season 1 filmed]? Are we going to make our way to Hawaii? Do we go to South America? That’s all part of the tension in searching for a home and a new place. We will get somewhere. We’re not going to make it across the Pacific. But there will be multiple stops and, at some point, we find a place we can call home and try to rebuild. And if we do that, that will go terribly wrong.”

In other words, don’t expect season 3 to take place in Japan; also, we wonder if this means the characters are not going to magically make it all the way around the world and try to end up in Alexandria. The show is charting its own course, and while the unknown can be exciting, we feel like season 2 does need a few more tangible plotlines and surprises to keep us invested in the way that we are the original show.
