‘The 100’ season 3: Eliza Taylor chimes in on Clarke – Lexa shocker
While it has been almost two days now since arguably the biggest shocker in the history of “The 100” on the air, it certainly still stings. The reality is that Clarke’s entire world has been changed forever. Right after she completely opened up her heart to Lexa, the character was killed off in stunning fashion. We know that logistically the move made sense given that Alycia Debnam-Carey is a regular on “Fear the Walking Dead,” but that certainly doesn’t make it any easier to swallow.
While Eliza Taylor has been fairly quiet on this past episode “Thirteen” since the episode aired, she did answer a couple of questions on Twitter Friday.
On her reaction to the big episode – “I’m as heartbroken as the fans. But I will say I’m glad we evoked such an emotional response. Means we did our job.”
On the hardest part of playing that fateful scene – “It was hardest to let myself go to the scary, feely place!! [Debnam-Carey] makes it all too easy, she’s amazing.”
The show must go on for Clarke, and we imagine that the next few episodes in particular are going to be difficult for her. While she has lost those she cares about before, it is more than fair to say that this time is different. There are still many episodes left this season, and recovery could be a theme for some of these.
Is it possible that we do see Lexa again? We suppose so, but we imagine that it would have to be either some sort of flashback or dream sequences unless someone managed to move the Lazarus Pit over from “Arrow” before Nyssa al Ghul destroyed it.
