‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 16 preview: Alicia and Jason’s alone-time ends abruptly

After everything that Alicia Florrick on “The Good Wife” has went through recently in between Peter losing the election, learning about Will’s voicemail, and having to abandon her small independent firm with Lucca Quinn, can you really be that surprised that she wanted a break? The fact that this break is with a man in Jason Crouse who is a secret lover just goes to show further how complicated her life really is.

The promo for Sunday night’s new episode “Hearing” does not accurately tell the entire story for the episode, but it does give you a sense of some of the chaos that will unfold when Alicia’s mother arrives on the scene and realizes that she’s with Jason. Then, Owen also stops by with bagels! It’s funny stuff, since it is something that she’ll have to try to explain in the midst of everything else happening with her life.

As for some of the other pertinent information about this episode, Peter Florrick is in the midst of a heated investigation from Connor Fox (Matthew Morrison of “Glee” fame), a ruthless U.S. Attorney who is doing what he can to prioritize the destruction of Peter at all costs. This could be a story that has long-term implications, and could eventually set up Alicia’s endgame. We’ll just have to see what happens when Fox really starts to sink his teeth into him.

We’ll have a review up for this episode come Sunday night, so be sure to head back to the site for some more news then!
