‘Quantico’ episode 12 preview: On the different sides of Alex Parrish

For all of those out there who enjoy “Quantico,” there is a major cause for celebration right now: The series is returning to ABC on Sunday night! It’s been a long wait, but you’re finally going to get to see the aftermath of the attack in the future … and also the aftermath of some of Alex Parrish’s decisions in the present following Ryan heading off on his undercover mission.

One of the things that could be the most entertaining about the upcoming episodes, at least per some comments from showrunner Josh Safran, is the dichotomy between the past and present incarnations of Priyanka Chopra’s character. Here is what he had to say specifically to Entertainment Weekly:

“Because we do the time jump in New York, you’re seeing the hopeful Alex in the present, and you’re seeing a broken Alex in the future. There’s a really great tension in the differences between Quantico Alex and New York Alex more so than ever before. She’s not on the run anymore, she has a different point of view than everyone else, and that puts her at odds with all of her closest people yet again in a new way, while you’re watching these friendships get even deeper at Quantico.”

Safran also teased that they are near the end of production now, which means that they are at the point in which they decide who makes it through the rest of the season alive. This really isn’t a cruel thing to do here at all, mostly because this is the sort of show that demands this and dictates it. There are going to be some terrible things that happen, and the best thing for you to do is just prepare yourself for it in almost every way that you possibly can.
