Is ‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 6, episode 17 new tonight? The schedule ahead

There’s some bad news out there for all fans of “Hawaii Five-0“: You’re not going to have a chance to say “aloha” to any new episodes airing on CBS Friday night.

What’s the reason for this? It’s as simple as logistics more so than anything else. There are only a small handful of episodes left this season, and the network would more than likely want to keep the show on the air until May. As a result of that, something has to give!

There will be a new episode of the show airing on CBS March 11, and following that you better be prepared for another hiatus. (According to the Futon Critic, the next new episode of the show after that will not air until April 1.) What’s the reason for the long delay? If we had to guess, it’d be the NCAA Tournament. This always causes some schedule chaos for CBS almost every year, and it’s something that they have to prepare themselves for.

The one part of this hiatus that we imagine could be especially unnerving for some people out there is the simple fact that we don’t know exactly what the future holds for the show moving forward. There is no season 7 renewal just yet, and while the ratings are not necessarily terrible, they’re also not in the sort of position where you would automatically have a ton of confidence that there would be an order for new episodes coming up in the future.
