Is ‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 18 new tonight? Kaley Cuoco on series’ future

Big Bang Theory -Last week, we had a chance to celebrate the 200th episode of “The Big Bang Theory.” Unfortunately, this week there is really not too much to celebrate at all. There is no new installment of the show airing on CBS, and you’re going to be stuck waiting until March 10 to see where the story picks up with “The Application Deterioration.” Unfortunately, that’s all we really know about this episode at the moment, though we imagine CBS will unveil at least something more about it over the course of the coming days.

For now, let’s talk the future of the show, and what seems to be a very nice consensus that the entirety of the cast wants to keep making it. Here’s what Kaley Cuoco (Penny) had to say recently to TVLine:

“I think it’s a given that we want to be here. That’s the overall consensus. It might be a sticky road, but if I have anything to do with it, we’d be here for much longer. That’s the goal.”

Ultimately, we’re starting to think that this could be around until the ratings start to slip, which hasn’t happened to much just yet. While the cast do get enormous paychecks for the show, the numbers and the syndication totals all justify them. If the show’s making a ton of money, everyone can get a piece of the pie and the stories can keep coming out. For now, we’re fairly optimistic that there will be at least one more season beyond the upcoming tenth one.
